The terminations on this double-terminated vesuvianite crystal are exceptionally sharply formed, with a C axis that is elongated to form a solid crystal shape that is a crystallography textbook classic. The color is a rich chocolate brown, and the faces of the crystal are mostly high gloss, with some mottling. There is one spot on a face of the termination where there is an "inny" hole – a rare variation on the crystal habit.
