STILBITE is one of the most popular zeolite mineral for collectors. This specimen is from the Aurangabad District, Maharashtra, India. Stilbite commonly forms nice crystals inside the frozen air bubbles (called vesicles) of volcanic rocks that have undergone a small amount of metamorphism. I picked up this fine piece at the Tucson Gem, Rock & Mineral Show from an Indian dealer who was set up to sell at one of the satellite shows.
