This sharply terminated quartz crystal has a lovely white phantom lurking inside the crystal. The phantom is the result of a white clay mineral being trapped inside highlighting an earlier phase of the crystal's growth. When the crystal resumed growing, a new layer of clear quartz completely enveloped the original crystal, leaving the phantom visible inside. There is no damage to this superb crystal.
