Here is a classic, fine and rich example of translucent, wet-look, turquoise blue smithsonite from the famed Kintore Opencut at Broken Hill.   Kintore Opencut was closed in 1996.  The smithsonite is perched on a black coronadite matrix.  This is colorful and attractive material from this historic locality.  This piece comes out of my own collection.
